CHANGES TO THE PLAN

Changes to the HCP Plan Offering

Effective November 1, 2022

1. Telemedicine or virtual doctor services have become more mainstream and as a result options are available to the general public, some being free of charge. Therefore, we have removed the Maple telemedicine offering from our plan.  Even though your Maple coverage has now ended you will still be able to access your medical records and consultation summaries from your existing account.

If you choose to complete a new consultation kindly note that a payment will be required.  And, as an HCP plan member, you will be extended preferred pricing for registration as an individual member of the Maple program.  Visit www.getmaple.ca/greenshield to learn more about discounted rates and how to join.

Looking for information on alternative and/or free telemedicine options?  Consider Telus Health MyCare.  Visit www.telus.com/en/personal-health/my-care to learn more.

2.The growing need for access to mental health care demonstrated the critical need to include Psychotherapist services in the HCP plan. This additional practitioner has been added to the mental health category of our paramedical services.  That category now includes coverage for Psychologist, Master of Social Work and Psychotherapist.  Coverage is combined among the three practitioners up to the maximum noted for your plan.

*HCP receives no commission on registrations with any 3rd party telemedicine program and is not responsible for any change in the information or rates offered by those third party programs.

The information is accurate as of the date of page publishing only.

Are you prepared for the unexpected?

You never know what the future holds, but with HCP, you will have peace of mind knowing that you and your family are well protected.
